When the promises of God in Psalm1 don't seem to be true, Psalm13 and 88 encourage us to make sure we pray rather than hide how we feel from God. Psalm 22 is another prayer from someone who is suffering. It teaches us what to pray for and how God will answer our prayers.
What were the problems David was facing in this Psalm? (verse 1-18)
1 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리십니까? 어찌하여 그리 멀리 계셔서, 살려 달라고 울부짖는 나의 간구를 듣지 아니하십니까? 2 나의 하나님, 온종일 불러도 대답하지 않으시고, 밤새도록 부르짖어도 모르는 체하십니다. 3 그러나 주님은 거룩하신 분, 이스라엘의 찬양을 받으실 분이십니다. 4 우리 조상이 주님을 믿었습니다. 그들은 믿었고, 주님께서는 그들을 구해 주셨습니다. 5 주님께 부르짖었으므로, 그들은 구원을 받았습니다. 주님을 믿었으므로, 그들은 수치를 당하지 않았습니다. 6 그러나 나는 사람도 아닌 벌레요, 사람들의 비방거리, 백성의 모욕거리일 뿐입니다. 7 나를 보는 사람은 누구나 나를 빗대어서 조롱하며, 입술을 비쭉거리고 머리를 흔들면서 얄밉게 빈정댑니다. 8 "그가 주님께 그토록 의지하였다면, 주님이 그를 구하여 주시겠지. 그의 주님이 그토록 그를 사랑하신다니, 주님이 그를 건져 주시겠지" 합니다. 9 그러나 주님은 나를 모태에서 이끌어 내신 분, 어머니의 젖을 빨 때부터 주님을 의지하게 하신 분이십니다. 10 나는 태어날 때부터 주님께 맡긴 몸, 모태로부터 주님만이 나의 하나님이었습니다. 11 나를 멀리하지 말아 주십시오. 재난이 가까이 닥쳐왔으나, 나를 도와줄 사람이 없습니다. 12 황소 떼가 나를 둘러쌌습니다. 바산의 힘센 소들이 이 몸을 에워쌌습니다. 13 으르렁대며 찢어 발기는 사자처럼 입을 벌리고 나에게 달려듭니다. 14 나는 쏟아진 물처럼 기운이 빠져 버렸고 뼈마디가 모두 어그러졌습니다. 나의 마음이 촛물처럼 녹아내려, 절망에 빠졌습니다. 15 나의 입은 옹기처럼 말라 버렸고, 나의 혀는 입천장에 붙어 있으니, 주님께서 나를 완전히 매장되도록 내버려 두셨기 때문입니다. 16 개들이 나를 둘러싸고, 악한 일을 저지르는 무리가 나를 에워싸고 내 손과 발을 묶었습니다. 17 뼈마디 하나하나가 다 셀 수 있을 만큼 앙상하게 드러났으며, 원수들도 나를 보고 즐거워합니다. 18 나의 겉옷을 원수들이 나누어 가지고, 나의 속옷도 제비를 뽑아서 나누어 가집니다.

What did David pray for in this situation? (verse 11, 19-21)

11 Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help
19 그러나 나의 주님, 멀리하지 말아 주십시오. 나의 힘이신 주님, 어서 빨리 나를 도와주십시오. 20 내 생명을 원수의 칼에서 건져 주십시오. 하나뿐인 나의 목숨을 개의 입에서 빼내어 주십시오. 21 사자의 입에서 나를 구하여 주십시오. 들소의 뿔에서 나를 구하여 주십시오. 주님께서 나의 기도를 들어주셨습니다.
19 But you, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me. 20 Deliver my life from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs. 21 Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.
What did David remember about how God responds to those who trust in Him? (verse 3-5, 9-10)

9 Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast. 10 From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God.
What did David say he will do in response to God's rescue? (verse 22-25)
22 주님의 이름을 나의 백성에게 전하고, 예배 드리는 회중 한가운데서, 주님을 찬양하렵니다. 23 주님을 경외하는 사람들아, 너희는 그를 찬양하여라. 야곱 자손아, 그에게 영광을 돌려라. 이스라엘 자손아, 그를 경외하여라. 24 그는 고통받는 사람의 아픔을 가볍게 여기지 않으신다. 그들을 외면하지도 않으신다. 부르짖는 사람에게는 언제나 응답하여 주신다. 25 주님께서 하신 이 모든 일을, 회중이 다 모인 자리에서 찬양하겠습니다. 내가 서원한 희생제물을 주님을 경외하는 사람들 앞에서 바치겠습니다.
22 I will declare your name to my brothers; in the congregation I will praise you. 23 You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel! 24 For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. 25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows.
In verse 26-31 who are the people David said would praise God? What will they praise Him for?
26 가난한 사람들도 "여러분들의 마음이 늘 유쾌하길 빕니다!" 하면서 축배를 들고, 배불리 먹을 수 있을 것이다. 주님을 찾는 사람은 누구나 주님을 찬양할 것이다. 27 땅 끝에 사는 사람들도 생각을 돌이켜 주님께로 돌아올 것이며, 이 세상 모든 민족이 주님을 경배할 것이다. 28 주권은 주님께 있으며, 주님은 만국을 다스리시는 분이시다. 29 땅 속에서 잠자는 자가 어떻게 주님을 경배하겠는가? 무덤으로 내려가는 자가 어떻게 주님 앞에 무릎 꿇겠는가? 그러나 나는 주님의 능력으로 살겠다. 30 내 자손이 주님을 섬기고 후세의 자손도 주님이 누구신지 들어 알고, 31 아직 태어나지 않은 세대도 주님께서 하실 일을 말하면서 '주님께서 그의 백성을 구원하셨다' 하고 선포할 것이다.
26 The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him--may your hearts live forever! 27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, 28 for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations. 29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him--those who cannot keep themselves alive. 30 Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. 31 They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn--for he has done it.

This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, "They divided my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing." So this is what the soldiers did.(요 19:23-24)
